More generally, whenever you find yourself benefiting from an accomplishment or achievement remember to say Alhamdulillah. Nothing can happen without the will of Allah, sometimes our ego starts to control us and we begin to believe in our supremacy. We give ourselves too much credit and this can be a destructive characteristic that needs to be avoided at all cost. If left unchecked our egos become inflated and we can become boastful and prideful forgetting about the role Allah has played by giving us the chance, opportunity, and timing which all factor into our success.
Al – Hamdulillah
This Alhamdulillah journal provides six months of journaling. Throughout the pages, you will find inspiring verses from the Qur'an. You can use it every morning to record your goals and duas for the day and turn to it in the evening to track your progress. Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an, "...If you are grateful, I will surely enhance you (in blessings)..." 14:7

Al-Noor society was established in 1987 in Houston, Texas out of the need for a Islamic Center where the Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jama'at community can commemorate Islamic historic events, maintain the identity of Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jama'at in America, and pass on true Islamic beliefs and traditions to our next generations. By the grace of Allah, in Houston, Al-Noor was the only establishment provided these services. Now Al-Hamdulillah many other organizations in Houston observe these festivities. Our Friday congregation is the largest in Texas and may be in other States, as well. The society enjoys the largest participation of the Muslim community in all our year-round programs. Al-Noor enjoys Non-profit Tax exempt status under IRS (501 C). Al-Alhamdulillah in the middle of 1992, the society managed to find a property within the vicinity to fulfill our needs. Current physical location is 6443 Prestwood Dr., Houston, Texas which is centrally located minutes from downtown Houston. The facility is about two blocks from the major freeway U.S. 59/I 69 @ Hillcroft. The present facility accommodates 1100 people. We have separate prayer halls for men and women, a large dining room, class rooms, and a library. Soon after acquiring the facility at 6443 Prestwood in 1992, a second facility at 225 Maxey Road, Houston TX was acquired to establish a branch of the Main mosque. Al-Noor has invited numerous world renowned scholars to address our congregation at special events for last thirty (30) years. In 2012, with the goal to produce Islamic scholars (Ulema) locally, Al-Noor Institute of Islamic Sciences (AIIS) was established. This institute offers three-year fulltime and five-year part time Alim programs. So far, Eight Alims have graduated from Al-Noor Institute.
When do we say Alhamdulillah? Alhamdulillah can be used as a secular exclamation of pleasure, much as Americans might use the expression "Thank God." For example: "Alhamdulillah! I got an A in chemistry!
Our Alhamdulillah Cuff is the perfect reminder you'll always need in life. No matter how tuff life may seem, we know deep down someone will have it worse and for that we are eternally grateful, Alhamdulillah.
Muslims recite this word all the time because both the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) teach us to say it daily and frequently.Alhamdulillah in EnglishAlhamdulillah has more than one translation, but they are all similar, here they are:
"Purity is half of Iman. Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) fills the scales, and subhan-Allah (how far from imperfection is Allah) and Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) fill that which is between heaven and earth. And the Salah (prayer) is a light, and charity is a proof, and patience is illumination, and the Qur'an is a proof either for you or against you. Every person starts his day as a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or bringing about its ruin." 2ff7e9595c
